Adam J. Reiss

Adam J Reiss, through and under the Firm Counsel transactional law boutique, serves as Special Counsel to Salpeter Gitkin LLP, where he oversees much of the firm’s commercial real estate and transactional work.

Adam’s national commercial real estate practice includes the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements for improved (income producing) and unimproved (development) real property, operational and management agreement as well as the review and negotiation of loan (permanent and construction) related transaction documents. He has experience in the preparation, negotiation and drafting of national credit tenant ground leases, absolute net leases, triple net shopping center and office building leases, build to suit and other lease-related documents including amendments, assignments and tenant workout agreements.  

Adam’s practice also includes the formation, acquisition, disposition, negotiation and drafting of operational structures for profit corporations, federal tax partnerships, disregarded entities, real estate developments and joint venture vehicles.

Adam currently serves as Vice-President and General Counsel to a commercial real estate development, property management and leasing firm in Broward County, Florida which has in excess of 900,000 square feet of retail and office space under management. He provides legal and business advice to each department of the company and manages its outside legal team. Adam works closely with executive management on existing property acquisitions, new development projects and financing of existing, acquisition and development properties as well as the property management and leasing divisions.

Adam graduated from The George Washington University in 1992 where he received his B.A. degree in political science. In 1999, he received his Juris Doctor from The University of Miami School of Law and in 2000 received an LL.M. in taxation, also from The University of Miami School of Law. Adam is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida, has been a member of the Florida Bar Association (Real Property and Tax Law Sections) and the American Bar Association (Business Section Committee of Partnerships and Unincorporated Business Organizations).
